Reggae artist Rasai has released his 13-track album Heart of Love on streaming platforms today, May 15, 2026, ending a project he says took six years to complete.

The record carries one message rooted in love, he said, reaching past romance into self-love, spirituality, community, and the bond between music and healing. Guest appearances include Kabaka Pyramid, Kalia, Governor, and Nester.

Rasai described the sound as "classic reggae with a refreshing feel," built on roots with lovers rock shading and other genre touches folded in. He and his team spent a week reordering tracks until the running order felt right. Heart of Love opens the set and Love Some More closes it; he urged listeners to take the album as a full journey from start to finish rather than cherry-picking singles.

Before release day, a private listening meant for about 20 people drew roughly 60 to 70 to the studio. Rasai also held a special Tuesday Service session at the Compound, where the album was made, and a launch the night before drew another strong turnout. He credited Coastal Kings, the Compound family, Kenny Jones, JLL, Javon Jones, Alpha Unit, and the Dub Squad as the crew behind the work, noting that daily sessions there blend domino, laughter, and recording in one space.

He pointed to Play, also called Dare Music, as a standout—a love letter to music framed as a ska tune that began as a pop idea. The album runs about 50 minutes; he named Take Me Down as a fit for a north-coast drive, adding that his songs often land best near water. He also recalled earlier tracks listeners tie to Jamaica, including Take Me Somewhere Wonderful.

Asked how release day feels after years living with the material, Rasai said gratitude and relief dominate. The process, he said, taught patience and pushed him to write from memories he once avoided. On success, he said finishing and releasing the body of work matters first, along with raising his value so bookings improve—not hitting a fixed stream total.

Heart of Love is on streaming services; Rasai said to search his artist name without a hyphen. Visuals for the project are still to come.
