Severe storms put 29 million under tornado watch across US Northeast

Severe weather continued to batter parts of the United States on Tuesday, with damaging winds, flooding and tornadoes posing risks across the Northeast and mid-Atlantic.
More than 29 million people spanning Pennsylvania to New York City were under a tornado watch Tuesday evening. Forecasters identified severe thunderstorms and powerful wind gusts as the primary hazards.
Two tornadoes had already been confirmed in northern New Jersey.
