
A young child lost their life after a crash involving two vehicles along the Pepper main road in St Elizabeth on Saturday morning. Police reports indicate that the toddler was one of four occupants in a Toyota Voxy that was involved in a collision with a Nissan pickup about 10:30 a.m.
The child's 18-year-old mother was said to have suffered critical injuries and is still being treated in hospital. In all, four people were transported to Mandeville Regional Hospital, where the toddler was declared dead when they arrived. The remaining injured persons were admitted for medical care.
