A 32-year-old taxi driver from St. Mary was killed after a crash on the Highgate Bypass close to St. Mary’s High School on Wednesday night.
Police have named the victim as Akeem Marshall of Cromwell Land, Highgate, St. Mary.
Officers say Marshall was behind the wheel of a Toyota Wish travelling east on the bypass when the vehicle is believed to have spun out of control. It flipped repeatedly, throwing him clear of the car.
He was taken to Annotto Bay Hospital and died there while receiving care.
St. Mary Police are still looking into how the fatal collision unfolded.
