Charity Showcase At Jamaica College Adds Nevaeh Allen, Public Figures To Line-Up

St. Andrew

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Support is growing for the Sunday, June 21 presentation of Powerful Women and Men Perform for Charity, with interest rising as showtime approaches.

The production is scheduled for 7:00 pm inside the Jamaica College auditorium, where rehearsals have been moving ahead as political representatives, members of the private sector and civil society figures prepare their performances.

Miss Jamaica World 2026 Nevaeh Allen has now been added to the cast. Also joining the programme are Nekeisha Burchell, the Opposition spokesperson on culture, and Karen Booker, the popular designer and radio personality.

They will appear alongside dozens of other participants, including House Speaker Juliet Holness, Opposition Leader Mark Golding and Minister of Tourism Ed Bartlett, whose items are expected to impress the audience.

“It is going to be an exciting show, full of surprises and the never-before-seen-and-heard gifts of these persons outside of the board rooms and corridors of power,” said Cordel Green, executive producer of the show.

Mustard Seed Communities, which will benefit from the event, has strong reason to welcome this staging. Over the years, Powerful Women and Men has delivered more than $80 million to the organisation.

”The west will be represented by at least two Montego-based powerhouses in the persons of celebrated journalists Lloyd B Smith and Janet Silvera, the latter fresh off her successful staging of the Jill Stewart Memorial Run,” Cordel noted.

Tickets are available at Fontana Pharmacies at Loshusan, Sovereign Centre, Tropical Plaza, Sovereign Village Portmore and Montego Bay. Online purchases can be made at touchstonelink.com.

Jamaicans overseas, along with others who cannot attend in person, will be able to view the concert by Pay-Per-View on the Alive Podcast Network. Another platform is expected to be named. Adult admission costs $4,000, while tickets for children under 12 are $2,000.

The proceeds will be handed over to Mustard Seed Communities to help care for nearly 500 HIV-affected and abandoned children living in 12 homes across Jamaica.
