Solar installer strengthens bid to secure government contract

Businesses seeking government contracts are expected to show they can deliver at a higher standard, including proving that the right people and systems are in place to complete the job.

Contract assessments look at whether a company has identified key positions, assigned clear duties and matched its staffing capacity to the requirements of the work. That expectation remains even when parts of the job will be handled by subcontractors.

Trevor, who runs a solar equipment installation business, initially held back from requesting references. After receiving professional coaching, he gathered strong endorsements, built greater confidence in his application and went on to secure the government contract.
