US dollar settles at $158.21 in Friday forex trading

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The United States dollar wrapped up trading on Friday, May 1, at a selling rate of $158.21, marking a six-cent climb against the Jamaican dollar. The figures were drawn from the Bank of Jamaica's daily exchange trading summary.
The Canadian dollar also gained ground, finishing the day at $116.28 compared with the previous level of $115.88. The British pound made a sharper move, closing at $216.26, up from $212.46.
