Vybz Kartel and Mavado reunite for 90 minutes at Taste of Reggae Sumfest

A Taste of Reggae Sumfest became a landmark evening of Jamaican sound, heritage, and shared celebration.

Dancehall heavyweights Vybz Kartel and Mavado drew a crowd of more than 35,000 to Plantation Cove for a landmark reunion set lasting 90 minutes. The pair revisited their well-known Gaza versus Gully feud, running through signature tracks before joining forces onstage as allies.

Further joint appearances are lined up at London’s O2 Arena and at Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street show in Malta. Event organisers also expressed gratitude to sponsors and partners who made A Taste of Reggae Sumfest possible, describing the night as an unforgettable showcase of Jamaica’s music and culture.
