Guyanese All-Rounder Keemo Paul Drafted Into West Indies Squad for Sri Lanka Test

ST JOHN'S, Antigua (CMC) — The West Indies have drafted Guyanese all-rounder Keemo Paul into their squad for the second Test against Sri Lanka, scheduled to start on Friday.

Paul, 28, is expected to report to the group before Wednesday's training session as the Caribbean side wraps up preparations for the series decider at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

He has appeared in three Tests for the West Indies, with his most recent outing coming against England in 2019. In those matches he has made 96 runs at an average of 16 and taken six wickets with his medium pace.

The West Indies hold a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series after winning the opening match by an innings and 217 runs.

West Indies squad: Roston Chase (captain), Jomel Warrican (vice-captain), John Campbell, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Joshua Da Silva, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Shai Hope, Amir Jangoo, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Anderson Phillip, Keemo Paul, Kemar Roach, and Jayden Seales.
