Westmoreland farmer Davion Bailey charged over motorcycle theft
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police have charged a Westmoreland farmer over the alleged theft of a motorcycle in that parish on Saturday, June 20.
The accused is Davion Bailey, 32, a farmer from Amity district in Westmoreland.
According to the Savanna-la-Mar police, Bailey went to the complainant’s residence about 7:00 a.m. and asked to use a motorcycle said to be worth roughly $100,000. The complainant declined the loan but agreed to take Bailey where he needed to go.
Officers say the two later paused along the route. While the complainant was not with the motorcycle, Bailey is alleged to have ridden it away.
The incident was brought to the attention of the police, who opened an inquiry. Bailey was later taken into custody and charged. A date for him to appear in court is still being set.
