The Jamaica Stock Exchange Best Practices Awards are framed as a way to lift standards across corporate Jamaica and to push firms to maintain sound governance arrangements, according to commentary tied to the programme.

Kimberly Martin, assistant vice-president for corporate solutions and syndication at NCV Capital Markets, said the awards help keep international best practices in view for the market. She described winning as a significant honour.

Martin also said her team is present at the exchange’s awards each year. For listed companies, she added, receiving recognition from the Jamaica Stock Exchange in this format represents a standout moment on the calendar.
