Man detained after police seize 9mm pistol in Plowden, Manchester

A man has been taken into custody after police reported finding a gun during an early-morning operation at his residence in Plowden, south Manchester, on Sunday.

According to a senior police source, officers went to the property about 5:00 am after receiving intelligence and carried out a search of the house. The operation reportedly uncovered a 9mm pistol along with 19 9mm cartridges. The man, who was present at the location, was later held by the police.
