Jamaica Processes 1.1 Million Vehicle Registrations Through Online Renewal System

Approximately 1.1 million motor vehicle registrations have been handled through the Government’s online services under its Digital Transformation Programme.
Audrey Marks, the Minister of Efficiency, Innovation and Digital Transformation, gave the figure yesterday while speaking in Parliament during the Sectoral Debate.
Marks said the platform is designed to make the process faster and limit the need for motorists to go into tax offices.
The service, developed with Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ), sends renewal alerts and lets drivers renew registrations online.
