Jamaica to Play Barbados in CWI Regional U-19 Final

1 min read

Jamaica will face Barbados in the final of the CWI regional honour 19 championship despite losing to the Barbadians in their final round robin match on Monday. Jamaica ultimately claimed second place on 20.2 points despite the loss to the bar to Barbados in their final preliminary fixture.

The result was enough to edge both Trinidad and Tobago and the Leeward Islands who each finished on 19.2 points and earn a chance to challenge the defending champions for the title. Barbados was flawless in the preliminary round following Monday's victory, and having chosen to bat, the Jamaicans were bundled out for 107 from 27.5 overs.

Zarell Harding took four for 24 and Justin Parris 3 for 17. Giovanni Gray was a top scorer with 24 and Joel Williams made 16 and were two of only three players in double figures. Barbados in reply reached 110 for three in 14.4 four overs with Jordan Graham leading the way with 29 and Gadson Bowens a quickfire 21 from eight deliveries to romp to a seven-wicket victory.
