Manchester's Los Perfectos target JWPL title after semi-final return

Los Perfectos FC, based in Manchester, have reached the Jamaica Women's Premier League semi-finals again and say they are ready to push past last year's disappointment.
The club were eliminated at this same round in the previous campaign by Frazsiers Whip, who went on to lift the trophy. This season they collected 24 points—six behind their familiar rivals—to place second in Zone B and book a spot in the final four.
They will face Arnett Gardens at 3:00 pm on Saturday at the JFF/Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence.
Assistant coach Sashana Campbell, a former Reggae Girl, set out the squad's mindset early. "Being back in the semi-finals shows the work the group has put in, but we're not satisfied with just getting here. Our ambition is to win the league, and that starts with taking care of business in the semi-finals," Campbell said.
She added that player growth remains central to the programme. "At the same time, we're focused on developing the young players in our squad so they leave better than they came in and also with opportunities to play at the collegiate level or in the national set-up."
That twin emphasis on results and development has guided Los Perfectos through the campaign. Campbell said the path was not smooth, but the group stayed the course.
"In terms of preparation, this season we somewhat made strides in getting a few more training sessions compared to last season. We had a few hiccups along the way, however, I think we accomplished most of our objectives thus far. For the most part, players are committed to getting the job done and we are grateful for the journey."
Technical director Johnoy Chambers pointed to the higher level of competition in the league as a factor in the club's progress this year.
"Playing against stronger teams has raised the mentality and overall quality within Los Perfectos FC. The improved standard has pushed our players to become more disciplined, focused, and confident every week," Chambers said. He also thanked the Jamaica Football Federation, the JWPL, and sponsors the James Family Group of Business and Superior Realtors.
Chambers outlined what has underpinned their steady form in the women's league. "Our success has come from hard work, unity, proper preparation, and belief in the process. The players and staff have stayed committed all season."
