PORTMORE, St Catherine :Portmore Double Murder — Police are investigating a double murder after four people were shot, two fatally, during a gun attack in the Waterford community of Portmore on Monday night.
The deceased have been identified as 26-year-old Antoine Andre Reid, otherwise known as “Gong,” and 26-year-old Saheid Roache, both residents of Waterford.
Reports indicate that gunmen opened fire on a group of individuals, hitting four people. Reid and Roache sustained multiple gunshot wounds and succumbed to their injuries.
Two other victims, including a 17-year-old, were rushed to hospital, where they remain undergoing treatment.
Investigators have not yet established a motive for the shooting and are appealing to anyone with information to contact the police.
The incident has heightened concerns among residents as law enforcement officers continue their probe into the latest outbreak of gun violence in the St Catherine community.
