Dr. the Most Honourable Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica, paid a courtesy visit to the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) booth during the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference, held at the Montego Bay Convention Centre from June 14–18, 2026.
Prime Minister Holness (right) engaged in discussions with Mr. Livingstone Morrison, Group Chief Executive Officer of the JSE, and commended the Exchange for its innovative use of technology in advancing Jamaica’s capital market. He also reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to supporting the JSE’s market development initiatives.
Also participating in the discussion was Mr. Andre Gooden, Group Business Development Manager at the JSE.
The Jamaica Diaspora Conference, convened by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, is the premier forum for strengthening engagement between Jamaica and its global diaspora community. Celebrating 20 years of diaspora engagement and the Conference’s milestone 10th staging, the 2026 event was held under the theme, “United for Jamaica’s Transformation: Fostering Peace, Productivity, and Youth Empowerment.”
The conference featured a comprehensive programme of discussions and activities focused on key areas including security, business, trade, investment, community development, the Orange Economy, health, technology, and education, while encouraging greater diaspora participation in Jamaica’s continued growth and development.
