Gaynstead and Norman Manley lead Zone One charge in Insports Challenge 2026 netball

Gaynstead High and Norman Manley High are setting the pace in Zone One of the Insports Challenge 2026 netball tournament, a contest whose champions stand to collect $400,000. Each side has looked firmly in control through the early fixtures, and the leading pair from every zone will move on to the semi-finals next Friday.

Gaynstead, holders of the ISSA urban schoolgirls under-19 crown, opened with a 57-6 rout of Ardenne High and later saw off Camperdown High 31-22. Norman Manley have been equally forceful, thrashing Merl Grove High 52-9 before posting a 51-19 win against Vauxhall High.

Elsewhere in recent Zone One action, Camperdown defeated Merl Grove 33-21, and Vauxhall High shared a 21-21 draw with Ardenne.

Among the rural schools in Zone Two, Denbigh High and Jose Marti High have yet to lose and appear well placed to reach the last four. Their meeting at the top of the standings produced a 23-23 stalemate at G.C. Foster College. May Day High edged Bishop Gibson High 35-29 in other Zone Two results, and Mile Gully High beat Dinthill Technical 30-14.

The penultimate round of preliminary matches is due today in both zones. At the Leila Robinson Court in the Corporate Area, Norman Manley meet Camperdown, Gaynstead face Vauxhall, and Ardenne take on Merle Grove, with tip-off set for 2 p.m. across those ties.

In Zone Two, Denbigh welcome Mile Gully at 1 p.m., then Dinthill meet Bishop Gibson at 2 p.m. May Day High clash with Jose Marti at G.C. Foster College, also from 2 p.m.
