D’Yani’s lands on Grammy Awards YouTube channel
Jamaican singer D’Yani continues to build on his international momentum as the acoustic performance video for his latest single, “Journey,” premieres on the Grammy Awards' YouTube channel on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
The performance is part of the Global Spin series, filmed at the legendary Tuff Gong Studio in Kingston, Jamaica, where D’Yani delivers the reflective reggae anthem backed by a full band and choir.
“Journey” serves as the lead single from his forthcoming album, Live Life and Prosper, due for release in August, and was produced by Kareem “Remus” Burrell of XTM Nation, the hitmaker behind “Live A Little.”
The latest milestone follows what could prove to be a career-defining move for D’Yani after signing with UK-based independent label Lizzy Records, becoming the company’s first Jamaican artiste as it expands its international roster.
His momentum also comes on the heels of the success of “The Little Things,” the Seanizzle Records-produced single that topped the iTunes US Reggae Chart, which peaked at No. 1 on the iTunes Reggae Chart. Released on March 27, the reflective reggae track resonated with listeners through its message of appreciating life’s simple moments, while its accompanying visuals - inspired by the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa - further reinforced the song’s emotional depth.
D’Yani is also set for a busy summer, beginning with a performance at the St. Kitts Music Festival this weekend, followed by dates across the UK and additional international appearances in the months ahead.
