Bahamian Reggae Singer Avaran Debuts Lovers' Rock Single on First Jamaica Promo Tour

Bahamian reggae singer Avaran is set to touch listeners with Sunshine After Rain, a new lovers' rock release, as he kicks off his maiden promotional run across Jamaica built around a single project.

The track was laid down at Anchor Recording Studio in Kingston and speaks to affection, thankfulness, and optimism once hard times pass.

"Sunshine After Rain was inspired by the feeling of finding someone who changes your world for the better," Avaran said. "Sometimes we go through seasons in life searching for that special person, and then one day Jah blesses you with someone who brings peace, happiness and purpose into your life. That's what this song celebrates."

He said choosing Jamaica as the launch point required little debate.

"Jamaica is the birthplace of reggae and I wanted to bring this project here first ,to show respect to the people, the musicians and the culture that gave reggae to the world. This visit is very special because it's my first time coming specifically to promote one of my songs to the Jamaican public," he said.

Avaran has performed alongside reggae greats such as Lucky Dube, Beres Hammond and Mykal Rose, yet the Bahamian vocalist acknowledged that his path has faced obstacles.

"Like many independent artistes, I experienced setbacks that slowed my career. But I never stopped writing, recording and believing that every new song was preparing me for the next chapter."

Issued on his independent imprint, HungryBelly Records, Sunshine After Rain underscores Avaran's dedication to genuine reggae and artistic self-direction.

With an official video already out and a full album nearing completion, he views the single as the opening of a promising new phase.

"I hope the song reminds people that after every storm comes sunshine. Keep believing, keep loving and never lose hope," he said.
