Flight touches down at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston
An aircraft completed its descent and touched down at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston on Sunday, bringing passengers to Jamaica’s main gateway on the south coast of the island.
As the plane rolled along the runway toward the terminal, cabin crew delivered the standard post-landing safety briefing heard on commercial flights worldwide. Passengers were asked to remain seated with seatbelts fastened until the seatbelt sign was turned off and to keep the aisles clear of carry-on items.
A crew member welcomed those on board to Kingston. The local time was announced as four twenty-three.
Attendants repeated reminders for travellers to stay in their seats with belts secured while the aircraft taxied. They also urged passengers to check seatback pockets for personal belongings such as tablets and mobile phones before disembarking.
Crew members cautioned that items stored in overhead compartments could shift during the flight and might fall when the bins were opened. Passengers were advised to open compartments carefully and to collect all belongings before leaving the aircraft.
Before the cabin doors opened, staff thanked travellers for flying and expressed hope that they would return.
Norman Manley International Airport, identified by the IATA code KIN, serves Kingston and handles domestic and international arrivals. The facility sits along the Palisadoes strip, linking the capital to the Caribbean Sea and acting as a primary entry point for visitors and returning residents.
Footage from the arrival captured the routine moments after touchdown: the hum of engines during taxi, illuminated cabin signs, and the familiar sequence of announcements that mark the end of a flight and the start of time on Jamaican soil.
