Jamaican football star Bunny Shaw will continue her career at Manchester City after agreeing a new four-year contract with the club.

The 29-year-old Women's Super League Golden Boot winner had been approaching the end of her previous agreement this summer, prompting questions about whether she would remain in Manchester. Speculation intensified following a reported annual offer worth £1 million from Chelsea.

Manchester City confirmed Shaw's new deal on Monday during the club's joint men's and women's victory parade. The announcement ended months of uncertainty around the Jamaican international's future and kept her with the reigning league champions.

Shaw described the season as a standout one in her career. Asked whether it was her best campaign so far, she replied: "Yeah, 100%. Like I said, I've won the golden boot before, but to do it this special group of people and to get my hands on the trophy, this one's definitely special."

Supporters had made their feelings clear during the celebration event, repeatedly calling for Shaw to stay. When asked for an update on her plans, she said: "I'm still here. I'm still hungry. And there's no place I'd rather be."

She added that, after the long wait, she was happy to announce she would be remaining at the football club.
