CB Chicken Continues Wellness Push with DBJ Mini PAN Chicken Competition

CB Chicken continues to promote healthier lifestyles alongside DBJ, as employees traded desks for PAN drums in a lively cook-off that challenged teams to create flavourful dishes using the brand’s products while exploring new flavours

CB Chicken contines to promote a healthier lifestyle and employee engagement, while this time Employees of the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) traded their desks for PAN drums at the organization's recent Wellness Fair, taking part in the second staging of the Mini PAN Chicken Competition powered by CB Chicken. The friendly cook-off combined creativity, teamwork, and plenty of flavour as participants went head-to-head for prizes and bragging rights.


the event brought together staff from across the organization for a day of learning, connection, and wellness-focused activities at the DBJ head office on Oxford Road in Kingston. Among the day's highlights was the highly anticipated cook-off, which challenged teams to create flavourful dishes using CB Chicken.

This partnership is a reflection of those shared values, and we are pleased to have CB's continued support as we create meaningful experiences for our employees," said Charlene Wong, PR and Corporate Communications Manager at the Development Bank of Jamaica.

Now in its second year, the Mini PAN Chicken Competition added a fun culinary twist to the event, with DBJ employees competing in a friendly cook-off. Using CB Chicken, teams showcased their creativity by turning simple ingredients into flavourful dishes packed with innovation.


Samantha Fisher, Assistant Brand Manager at CB Foods, said the partnership was a natural fit for both organizations. "This is our second year partnering with DBJ on this initiative, and we're excited to continue supporting a programme that encourages healthier lifestyles in such an engaging way. At CB Chicken, our mantra is Eat. Live. Love. Do Better., and we believe wellness goes beyond physical health - it includes the food we eat and the experiences we share."


Fisher explained that the Mini PAN competition provided a unique opportunity to bring those values to life through food, teamwork and shared experiences. "PAN Chicken, known for its wholesome grilled preparation, was the perfect fit for a wellness-focused event. The cook-off created a fun, interactive experience that brought people together while demonstrating that healthy eating can be simple, flavourful and full of vibes."

This year’s staging also introduced Caribbean Passion Chorizo Sausages, giving participants even more room to experiment with bold flavours and creative dishes.


“Last year, we saw how creative the teams were, so this year we wanted to elevate the experience by introducing Caribbean Passion Chorizo Sausages,” Fisher explained. “The smoked pork sausage added another layer of flavour while showcasing a product that is versatile, convenient and ready in 1-2-3.”


CB Chicken also supported the event with branded PAN drums, aprons, protein for the cook-off and sampling activities, along with a case of CB Chicken awarded to the winning team.

Wong praised both the staff participation and CB Chicken’s contribution to the event. "The support provided by CB Chicken for the Cook-Off segment of our Wellness Fair added tremendous value to the overall experience. Having a trusted Jamaican brand contribute not only the products and equipment, but quite literally the flavour, allowed us to offer our employees a more engaging and memorable event. More than just a cook-off, the competition gave employees a chance to connect, collaborate and celebrate the role good food plays in promoting a healthier and happier lifestyle. Through the continued partnership between DBJ and CB Chicken, the event successfully blended wellness, teamwork and creativity into a fun and memorable experience.
