Covenant Insurance seals last-four place in NADB Business House Domino League
Only one semi-final place remains open in the NADB Business House Domino League after Friday’s fixtures, with Covenant Insurance Brokers now confirmed among the last four alongside Pulse and Telecommunications and Grace Kennedy.
Covenant locked in their knockout berth by defeating Jamaica Observer 53-35, having led 24-19 at the break. On the same night, Port Authority of Jamaica edged National Housing Trust 59-57.
In other action, Ministry of Education beat Bank of Jamaica 53-46 after trailing by three at half-time. Players on the Education side said the hosts made it a contest early, but a second-half adjustment turned the match around.
Attention is already turning to the knockout stage involving Covenant. Opponents who faced the insurers earlier in the campaign recalled a one-point win in a closely fought contest and described the upcoming meeting as one worth watching.
The semi-finals and the final are scheduled for next Friday at the Bank of Jamaica Auditorium.
