Beaches Turks and Caicos debuts Treasure Beach Village at $50m launch with Holness

Visitors who associate the name Treasure Beach only with the quiet fishing settlements along St Elizabeth’s south shore may need a wider map. In the Turks and Caicos Islands, locals have for years used the same endearment for a striking stretch of coastline—and that shoreline is now the centrepiece of Beaches Turks and Caicos under the banner Treasure Beach Village.

The property positions itself for travellers spanning several generations. Over the weekend, more than 500 people—including travel advisors, government and tourism representatives, celebrities, and guests on holiday—toured oceanfront villas fitted with private pools, rooftop terraces, and roomy family accommodations.

Festivities began on Thursday with a Regatta Golden Hour welcome, shaped around family-centred customs familiar in the Turks and Caicos and across The Bahamas. Treasure Beach Village General Manager Deryk Meany delivered his characteristically spirited address to open the programme.

Saturday night brought the high-tempo Treasure Beach Village Bash, where Jamaica’s Prime Minister, Dr Andrew Holness, appeared as special guest. Sandals Resorts International Executive Chairman Adam Stewart presided over the occasion, which marked the formal debut of the US$50-million Treasure Beach Village Turks and Caicos following a soft opening in March.

The celebration also signalled the next phase of Beaches 2.0. The brand intends to widen its Caribbean footprint through an investment put at roughly US$1 billion, with new sites planned for Exuma in The Bahamas, Jamaica, Barbados, and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
