St Mary, Jamaica: Highgate Contractor Found Dead – Police in St Mary are probing a suspected suicide case following the discovery of a man’s body in the Highgate community on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old contractor Oneero Roberts, otherwise known as ‘Anif’, of Comsee district in Highgate.
According to reports, the body was discovered hanging from a tree in a bushy area behind his home at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Commanding Officer for the St Mary Police Division, Anthony Wallace, said officers responded to the scene and found Roberts suspended by a rope from the tree. He was reportedly dressed in a black T-shirt and dark blue jeans. Police also indicated that the body was in a partially decomposed state.
The scene was processed by investigators before the body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
