1 min readSt. Ann

A man who was being investigated in connection with the disappearance of pharmacy technician Kedecia McLeod has been found dead in Brown’s Town, St Ann.

The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Maurice Fennell, a security guard from Cambridge, St James.

Reports indicate that Fennell died from a gunshot wound shortly after 6:00 a.m. on Thursday. Police sources say the incident is being treated as a suspected suicide.

According to information circulating on social media, residents reported hearing several explosions before discovering the man’s body. One resident said they initially believed the deceased was a police officer.

Meanwhile, investigators are probing the discovery of a female body in Pepper District, St Elizabeth, believed to be that of missing pharmacy technician Kedecia McLeod.

A video obtained by local media shows the body lying along a roadway, dressed in a white blouse, grey sweater, khaki pants and white slippers — clothing that matches the description released by police when McLeod was reported missing.

Authorities have not yet formally confirmed the identity of the deceased, pending further investigations and official identification procedures.

Police continue their investigations into both incidents.
