KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Premier League (JPL) champions Portmore United and runners-up Cavalier SC will begin their respective Concacaf Caribbean Cup group-stage schedule on August 4-5 with away games in Group B.
The tournament schedule, released on Thursday, outlines group-stage matches running through mid-September, with the semi-finals slated for October and the final set for early December.
Portmore United and Cavalier secured qualification for the regional competition after advancing to the JPL final. Meanwhile, third-place finishers Mt Pleasant FA will participate in the CFU Shield in July, where the finalists will also qualify for the Concacaf competition.
In the opening round, Portmore United will be away to Trinidad and Tobago’s Salcedo FC at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on August 4th, with Cavalier SC playing Cibao FC at Estadio Cibao FC in the Dominican Republic.
Cavalier will then return home to host Salcedo FC at the National Stadium on August 20 before an all-Jamaican showdown against Portmore United on September 3, also at the National Stadium.
