Colleagues from the Trust used the visit to build on Read Across Jamaica Day activities that encourage literacy and foster enthusiasm for books among young people.
Fellow NHT worker Joel Nomdarkham also spent time with a pupil during the same session at the Kingston school. Organisers framed the engagement as a follow-on to Read Across Jamaica Day, with the goal of strengthening reading skills and a lasting interest in reading among the island’s youth.
