
A Clarendon police officer has died after being hurt when his motor car struck a wall on New Road last month.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) confirmed that District Constable Nathaniel McKenzie, attached to the Clarendon Police Division, died today.
Authorities said the force's Chaplaincy Services Branch, Medical Services Branch and Welfare Department are assisting his relatives and fellow officers.
According to the police, McKenzie, 36, was travelling north in his motor car at about 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, when he lost control at a point along the road and smashed into a wall.
He suffered several injuries and was taken to hospital.
He died from those injuries on Monday, July 13.
