A thoughtful highlight of the day was the selection of books, all written by Jamaican authors, including The Little Lion Series by Kellie Magnus, Jamaica in My Tummy by Jean Hawthorne Dacosta, and Magnus the Mongoose by Alison Latchman.

“We intentionally selected books by Jamaican authors because we wanted students to see themselves reflected in the stories they read,” said Nicole Hall, Senior Manager – Commercial Marketing at CB Foods. “It’s important that they recognize their own culture, voices, and experiences, as it helps build pride and confidence while inspiring them to dream bigger.”

For CB Chicken, selecting Allman Town Primary was both intentional and meaningful. “Allman Town Primary is one of our valued customers, and our customers are the backbone of our business,” Hall shared. “We wanted to pour back into a school that supports us, while also making a meaningful impact.
