Popcaan delivers powerful performance at “Nothing Without God – LIVE”

Dancehall artist Popcaan delivered a memorable and deeply personal performance on Saturday night as Nothing Without God – LIV captivated a packed audience at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in Kingston.

The event attracted a diverse audience that included Members of Parliament, entertainment industry stakeholders, business leaders, and music lovers from across Jamaica and the diaspora. Together, they witnessed an evening celebrating faith, growth, gratitude, and the enduring power of dancehall music. More than a concert, the production showcased a new chapter in Popcaan’s artistic journey, revealing a more mature and reflective entertainer whose connection with his audience remains as strong as ever.

The evening commenced with a stirring performance from Jah Izrael, who set the tone for the night’s message of faith and inspiration. He was followed by vocalist Nordia Mothersille, whose captivating set resonated with patrons, before Runkus brought his signature energy to the stage fresh off the release of his album Super Nova. Jah Vinci then thrilled the audience with a powerful performance that further heightened anticipation for the night’s headline act.

One of the evening’s most moving moments came when Popcaan’s mother, Ms. Rhona, offered a heartfelt prayer that reflected the central message of the Nothing Without God project.

When Popcaan emerged dressed in an all-white suit, the audience erupted with excitement. Fans sang along as the Unruly Boss performed selections from the album, taking patrons on a musical journey that reflected both his personal growth and artistic evolution. During his set, he was joined by his brother Natebadz and Imeru Tafari, whose appearances added another memorable layer to the production.
Saturday night’s performance was a reminder of why Popcaan remains one of dancehall’s most influential and respected artists, more than a decade after emerging on the scene.

The excitement continued with surprise appearances from Govana and Richie Spice, both of whom received thunderous applause from the packed venue. The show reached its climax when Popcaan performed his new single, “Life Still A Gwaan,” before bringing the evening to a fitting conclusion with legendary dancehall acts Pinchers and Nitty Cutchie joining him on stage for a memorable finale.
