Four Jamaican Creators Lead FRi~NALLY Summer Takeover in Kingston
Kingston’s summer entertainment slate is set for a shake-up as FRi~NALLY passes control of its fortnightly events to four of the island’s leading online personalities.
K’Vonne ‘Prince Pine’ Legore opens the creator-led run this Friday at the Gaza x Gully Edition, launching a season of nights shaped by the tastes and ideas of Jamaica’s digital stars. Shereese Renee Palmer follows on July 24 with Bottles & Babes. Karlando ‘Bad Sekki’ Bailey takes the helm on August 14 for Sum A Dis Sum A Dat. The programme closes on August 28 when Tyrel ‘One Supreme’ McLean presents Likkle Throwback, a throwback-themed night aimed at fans of classic Jamaican moments.
The move is the newest chapter for FRi~NALLY, a bi-weekly entertainment brand that has spent six years, since 2019, building one of Kingston’s best-known recurring event lines through steady programming, daring concepts, and a push past standard party promotion.
“Since launching FRi~NALLY in 2019, we’ve always challenged ourselves to find new ways to elevate the experience for our patrons,” said Daniel Wong, co-founder of FRi~NALLY. He noted that content creators already draw massive attention on social platforms. Putting them in charge, Wong said, lets them show their full creative range and proves creators can play a far bigger role than simply boosting tickets.
Andre’ Skeen, team lead for The Influence Jamaica, said FRi~NALLY fits the project well. “The brand has the energy, the audience, and the cultural connection that makes sense for our influencers and for the kind of experiences we want to create,” Skeen said.
The Summer Series adds a contest layer. Each creator holds full creative control and will be judged on how inventive their promotion is, how well they engage audiences, turnout at their night, and the overall commercial performance of the event. Organisers have not yet revealed the full prize package but confirmed it goes beyond cash and will include rewards tied to creativity, entrepreneurship, and influence.
Blossom Concepts serves as the official décor partner for the Summer Series. With the same décor budget allocated to every staging, the firm will work side by side with each creator to bring their vision to life, sharpen the look of each night, and add design touches that make every outing stand out while keeping conditions fair across the board.
“We’ve challenged ourselves as promoters to rethink what event marketing can look like and to create something that excites and entertains audiences before, during, and after the event,” said Jared Samuel, co-founder of FRi~NALLY. “By placing creators at the centre of the experience, we’re introducing a new way for audiences to engage,” Samuel said. “If this series encourages more brands to see creators as genuine collaborators rather than simply promotional tools, then we’ll know we’ve created something that extends beyond this summer.”
