Jamaica Fuel Prices Rise as Gasoline, Diesel and Cooking Gas Rates Increase on July 16

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaicans heading to the pumps are being advised to expect higher gasoline prices from Thursday, July 16, based on Petrojam's newest ex-refinery rate sheet.

The state oil refinery said 90-octane fuel will now cost $208.77 per litre, which reflects an increase of $3.06, while 87-octane gasoline moves to $201.34 per litre after the same $3.06 rise.

Automotive diesel has gone up by $12.50 and will be sold for $219.00, while ultra-low sulphur diesel now stands at $234.59 per litre following an identical $12.50 increase.

For cooking gas products, propane liquid petroleum will sell for $77.71 per litre after rising by $1.89, and butane liquid petroleum will cost $86.68 per litre, also up $1.89.

Petrojam also noted that marketing companies and retailers will apply their own mark-ups to the listed prices.
