A further death has been linked to the blast and blaze that struck the Guardsman garage on South Camp Road in Kingston in May.

Officials have named the victim as Damion Walters, 43. He was among two staff members flown out of Jamaica for advanced medical care after sustaining life-threatening injuries in the mishap.

Walters died on Monday at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia, USA, where he was receiving treatment for his wounds.

The May explosion and the fire that followed took place at the Guardsman garage on South Camp Road, next to the Beryllium Limited courier compound, and left several workers hurt.
