Tufton hails union backing for public health Accountability Framework

Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton has praised unions and professional associations for backing the Ministry’s Accountability Framework after discussions with public health stakeholders.

The framework aims to strengthen accountability and raise the standard of care throughout Jamaica’s public health network. It sets out what healthcare workers are required to do under their contracts of employment.

According to Minister Tufton, the drive rests on partnership among the Government, managers of health facilities, and staff unions, with the goal of delivering better healthcare for patients.
