
Jamaica football federation congratulates cavalier for winning the 2024 concacaf caribbean cup
Kingston, Jamaica- December 3,, 2024- The Jamaica Football Federation would like to heartily congratulate Cavalier F.C. for winning the 2024 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup. Cavalier won the final over Cibao FC of the Dominican Republic via the away goals rule after a 2-2 scoreline on aggregate. Cavalier clipped Cibao 1-0 in Jamaica while on Tuesday (December 3) Cibao got a 2-1 result. With the away goal scored by Cavalier, the 2024 Jamaica Premier League champions also ended the year with the Caribbean crown. For the first time since 2019 a Jamaican club has won the Caribbean Cup Championship. President of the Jamaica Football Federation Mr. Michael Ricketts commended Cavalier for the achievement. “I would like to extend a special congratulations to Mr. Speid, the players and staff of Cavalier F.C. for winning the 2024 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup. To have a Jamaican club be the champions of club football in the Caribbean is something to embrace and it only bodes well for Jamaican football.” By winning the 2024 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup Cavalier F.C. will get a bye to the Round of
16 of the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup which is slated for March 2025. The draw for the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup is slated for Tuesday December 10, 2024. Cavalier will be the only Jamaican club participating in the 27 team competition
