National Land Agency launches Land Administration Capacity Enhancement Project at inception ceremony

The National Land Agency (NLA) is staging the official inception ceremony for the Land Administration Capacity Enhancement Project, a programme meant to shore up Jamaica’s land administration framework and the way the sector runs day to day.

Organisers say the work should also raise the standard of service that citizens and other stakeholders receive when they deal with land matters.

Officials frame the effort as a major push to bring land management up to date through stronger technology, institutional development, and added capacity within land administration.

Planners expect the initiative to back sustainable development, widen access to land information, and help national growth and investment opportunities across the island.

At the ceremony, government representatives, project stakeholders, and partner agencies are due to set out the vision, objectives, and expected impact of the project.
