LEGO brings FIFA World Cup fun to Shanghai’s Xuhui

A giant LEGO-built FIFA World Cup Trophy has become the centerpiece of a football-themed celebration at West Bund Dream Center in Shanghai’s Xuhui district, as the LEGO Group launched its global “Get in the Game” campaign alongside the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The 170-square-meter LEGO FIFA World Cup Creative Stadium pop-up invites football fans and families to enjoy hands-on building activities and interactive experiences inspired by the world’s biggest football tournament.

The main attraction is a 3.1-meter-tall replica of the FIFA World Cup Trophy, built with more than 200,000 LEGO bricks over 1,200 hours. Visitors can pose with the giant trophy and create personalized souvenir posters to commemorate their visit.
The venue also features four themed exhibition zones where brick-built minifigures recreate iconic moments from the careers of four football stars: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, and Vinicius Junior. Fans can also design their own football jerseys using LEGO bricks and display them on an interactive “Wall of Glory.”

Nearly 10 new LEGO Editions sets created for the FIFA World Cup 2026 are also on display, including the LEGO Editions FIFA World Cup Trophy, the “Classic Goals” collection, and the “Football Legends” series. The sets celebrate memorable moments in football history while encouraging fans to create their own World Cup memories through LEGO building.
