Jamaica Flour Mills to Raise Prices on Flour and Some Bakery Mixes from May 18

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Flour Mills Limited (JFM) has advised that prices for its flour line and certain bakery mixes will move up on Monday, May 18, 2026.

In a statement issued Thursday, the company said it had spent an extended period trying to shield customers from mounting expenses tied to raw materials, packaging, freight, and other factory-related costs.

“Despite these efforts, continued increases driven by global market conditions have made it necessary to implement this change,” JFM added.

JFM said it is still tracking international cost trends and indicated that if those outside pressures ease in any significant way, it will reassess its pricing.

For now, the company said its priority is to improve efficiency throughout its supply chain and wider operations.
