Jamaica opens Nations League Group B with home ties vs Guatemala, Honduras

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s men’s national football team will stage its opening Concacaf Nations League Group B fixtures at home against Guatemala and Honduras during the September FIFA window, officials confirmed on Friday.

The Reggae Boyz begin the first round on Friday, September 25, meeting Guatemala at the National Stadium. Four days later, on Tuesday, September 29, they host Honduras at the same venue.

Away from home, Jamaica faces El Salvador on October 1, then plays Honduras again in a return Group B match on Monday, October 5.

Thursday’s draw set the schedule for the competition’s fifth edition under its revised format. The two leading sides from each of the two groups advance to the finals stage, where they join the seeded quarter-finalists — two-time defending champions Mexico, plus the United States, Canada and Panama.

Winners of those four quarter-final ties will earn places at the 2027 Concacaf Gold Cup.
