KSAMC Plans Mobile Outreach for Corporate Area Signage Approvals

1 min readKingston

The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation says it will step up work to bring signs and billboards used by businesses in the Corporate Area in line with municipal rules.

At the corporation's monthly council meeting on Tuesday, Kingston Mayor Andrew Swaby said mobile outreach stations will be placed around the municipality. He said the teams will make it easier for business operators to seek approval, ask questions, get help with applications and receive initial inspections.

Swaby called on companies to work with the municipal authority, secure the required permissions and pay the relevant fees to regularise their signage. He said the KSAMC wants to assist businesses, but warned that the outreach drive is the last chance for voluntary compliance before firmer enforcement begins.
