Jamaica's Alyssa James, the highest-ranked junior in the Caribbean, has returned home after her Junior Wimbledon run. She was eliminated in the second round in both singles and doubles.
James is taking time to rest and recover before she restarts training for the hard-court season and prepares for the Junior US Open. This marks her last year competing as a junior ahead of joining the University of Virginia as a freshman.
She is playing on the International 18-and-Under Elite Touring Team through the ITF Grand Slam Player Development Programme. Currently ranked 41st in the world, James stopped in at CVM to discuss how her grass-court campaign unfolded.
