
A search for 16-year-old Munro College student Kamal Reynolds concluded on Thursday when his body was found in waters off St Thomas.
Reynolds, who lived in St Elizabeth, had gone swimming with other students at a St Thomas beach on Wednesday. Police said he encountered problems in the water and subsequently vanished below the surface.
Marine Police personnel joined the search soon after Reynolds disappeared. The operation was halted on Wednesday evening and restarted on Thursday morning, with his body located shortly afterwards.
The Yallahs Police and the Marine Police are conducting investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident.
