Natalia Inspiration professes ‘My Love’ featuring Kenn Willis

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Fusion rapper Natalia Iñspiration is ecstatic about the early reaction to her latest single, ‘My Love‘ featuring United Kingdom (UK)- based balladeer Kenn Willis.
The song, an ode to love, is elevated by Natalia Iñspiration’s smooth rapping style delivered on a bouncy, hip-hop flavoured beat.
“Kenn Willis actually wrote that song before he met me, but he didn’t complete it. He wanted another artiste to collaborate with, so one night, while we were on a voice call, he sent me the song. I quickly wrote my verse on it and recorded it, then I sent it to him and he loved it. From there, we decided to collaborate,” she said.
The song is an ice cream smooth production featuring Willis, the UK-based reggae artiste, who shows off his balladeer chops as he waxes lyrical about love. Willis’ passion shines through as he professes his admiration of Natalia in love-letter form, while Natalia brings the heat with an uptempo rap verse where she gets to the heart of the matter.
“The reaction has been straight fire on social media, we’re moving towards doing a video soon,” she said.
The song, released on May 1, could be the endearing breakthrough that Natalia Inspiration has been looking for, and it’s already scorching local airwaves.
For the young rapper, hearing her song on the radio for the first time was like an out-of-body experience.
“Since childhood, I’ve always loved music, and I’ve always had the passion to be a singer. So when I heard ‘My Love‘ on the radio for the first time, I just lost it, it was amazing, I couldn’t believe my voice sounded so great,” she said.
Born Brithney Natalia Lovelace, she grew up in Flamstead, Hanover where she was raised by both of her parents Marlene Lee and Donovan Lovelace. She grew up with seven of her siblings. Although she experienced financial struggles that affected her education, she grew up in a joyful household. She attended Merlene Ottey High School, and as a teen, she had her first personal encounter with Jesus Christ and converted to Christianity.
During her adulthood, she dabbled on the creative side, writing books and later became a content creator/comedienne with her sketches on social media.
However, in 2024, she entered a TikTok talent show where she showcased her impressive writing skills and her savvy rapping ability. She eventually made it all the way to the semi-finals stage of the contest, winning a legion of online fans.
This experience reignited her passion for music.
“I recognised that I have talent and can make a great impact in the world, and with the encouragement of Kenn and others, I began focusing my attention on music,” she said.
She recorded her first single, “My Life“, however, her first officially released song is titled “My Love” featuring Willis.
She has other songs in the pipeline including an uptempo collaboration with Predator.
She is also making greater plans to collaborate with other musical artistes. A gospel-rap album may also be in the cards.
