Downtown Kingston’s National Gallery of Jamaica (NGJ) welcomed invitees last Wednesday for another private look at Of Wood and Water: The Scotiabank Collection. The show, which opened in June, gathers more than 50 pieces from Scotiabank’s corporate holdings and the gallery’s own permanent stock, and the night gave visitors fresh space to consider the narratives, symbols and history each work carries.
