NSAD detains man after 9mm pistol recovered in Tivoli Gardens raid

Police took a man into custody after officers reportedly recovered a gun and ammunition during a Saturday operation in Tivoli Gardens, Kingston.

Around 10:00 a.m. on July 18, personnel from the National Strategic Anti-Gang Division (NSAD) targeted an unused dwelling on Shearer Drive. A search of the property led to the recovery of a 9mm pistol whose magazine held six rounds of 9mm ammunition, according to reports.

Authorities linked one individual to the find and detained him. His name has not been released while the probe continues. Investigators are still examining the circumstances surrounding the seizure.
