
KINGSTON, Jamaica – World Champion Oblique Seville made his first 100m appearance of the season on Saturday and won in 9.96 seconds with a 0.2m/s wind reading at the third JAAA/Puma meet inside the National Stadium.
Seville competed in heat 21, where he separated himself from the rest of the line-up in his race. Sandrey Davison placed behind him in 10.22 seconds, while Adrian Kerr followed in 10.28 seconds.
Bouwahjgie Nkrumie took the section before the final one in a season-best 10.13 seconds into a -1.1m/s wind, a performance that left him second overall.
In the women’s 100m, Ashanti Moore was fastest with 11.18 seconds in a 0.1m/s wind. World Relays gold medallist Jodean Williams was next in 11.22 seconds, and national junior record holder Alana Reid ran 11.31 seconds.
Tajh Marques White secured the men’s 400m in 45.91 seconds, finishing ahead of Kingston College schoolboy Jason Pitter, who ran 46.40 seconds, and Reheem Hayles, who posted 46.42 seconds.
Samantha Hall led the women’s discus with a 60.07m effort, while World Indoor Championships medallist Lushane Wilson cleared 2.16m to win the men’s high jump.
