
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Reigning world champion Oblique Seville produced the quickest time in Thursday's opening men's 100m heats at the JAAA National Championships, stopping the clock at 10.09 seconds with a -1.0m/s wind reading at the National Stadium.
Seville finished comfortably ahead of Rasheed Foster, who ran 10.30 seconds, and Michael Campbell, who posted 10.39 seconds. All three secured places in Friday's semi-finals.
World Indoor bronze medallist Ackeem Blake also advanced with 10.11 seconds (-1.9m/s). Nishion Ebanks moved on in 10.22 seconds (-1.0m/s), while Travis Williams qualified in 10.23 seconds (-1.0m/s). Teenager Gary Card won his heat in 10.33 seconds (-2.7m/s).
