
Toddler Ozaiah Williams Killed on Terminal Road After Breaking Away From Mother in Old Harbour
A three-year-old boy lost his life in Old Harbour, St Catherine, on Saturday evening after he slipped from his mother's hold and ran into oncoming traffic.
The child has been identified as Ozaiah Williams, of Blackwood Gardens, Old Harbour Bay.
Police say the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. along Terminal Road. Officers report that the youngster broke away from his mother, entered the roadway, and was struck by a white 2017 Toyota Probox.
Ozaiah suffered injuries that proved fatal in the collision.
The Old Harbour Police say they are examining the circumstances that led to the crash.
Figures from the Island Traffic Authority show that, up to June 26, 137 people had died in 123 fatal collisions across Jamaica.
